PowerPoint (Terrific)...

In the power point project i created a lesson plan for a 3rd grade science class. The project was to create an use different animations and fun with the tools power point offers. I had to use my imagination and creativity with this project which helped me explore those areas of my mind! My experience with this project helped me grow and learn the different tools and animations that power point had to offer. I've always known how to use power point, but some of the tools Dr.Smith showed us in class i didn't know existed and I'm glad he showed us these different ways. The format of this assignment i thought was hard to understand at first but when it got explained more i completely understood it. I thought presenting the project to our peers was a good way for us to learn how to talk in front of students and to gather ideas for the other classmates on how they think to teach. i really enjoyed seeing the other students projects and their creativity. Some of them i thought were really good and better than mine and i could learn from them on how to make mine more creative! Found this cheesy video on you tube about "what is energy" i thought it was funny and the kids would laugh about it. Also i found this website for the kids to explore with stories and different activities on Energy in the world. I thought it would be cool for the kids to explore this website.

Two more for the roll.

Over the weekend i was looking at different blogs. As I come across blogs nothing was really grabbing my attention. So I decided to look up stuff that sparks my interest i love to travel and i love cars. What better then to follow my two favorite things.

So I was looking up blogs about cars and the blog i came across that i thought would be perfect was about the entire auto industry. The blog i found is called theautoprophet, within this blog they talk about how the auto industry is still doing and growing everyday. The picture to the right is of my car sitting in my driveway. 5 months ago i got this car and i love it.

Rainbow Springs, Florida
My second blog that i happened to come across has to do with traveling. Traveling by far is my favorite thing. Something i wanna do is travel to all of the State Park. I have been many places but i have yet to go to a state park. When i found this blog it just gave me more of a need to go to the state parks with its beautiful pictures and wonderful comments. I've been out of the country to the Bahamas which was beautiful, but our state parks are our state parks and they define the United States.

My beliefs About Technology and Learning!

My beliefs about technology and learning is that all students should be given the opportunity to learn through books and technology. The reason is that the world is becoming more technological everyday and we now depend on the technology we are given. If students cant understand how to use a computer or how to search the Internet they will have future troubles with learning. Although not everything you find on the Internet is accurate you do have dependable sources to help find information to do research papers etc. I fully believe that computers should be used within the classroom throughout the day and their school career. It's not just for students either, teachers have the opportunity to learn how to use the new smart boards they have out that link with the computers. This way the teacher isn't hiding behind the computer screen when giving a lesson with a projector.

Important To Me

What is important to me about education is that i am attending school to be a teacher, and budget cuts within the united states is out of control what i don't understand is how we can cut education budgets but then expect children to be successful in school. The bigger the classrooms the less a teacher has to spend with other students. In the picture is an ideal size class room for me, this way there can be more one on one with the students.
